Securing Freedom
Our founding scripture is “And he will turn the hearts of fathers to their children and the hearts of children to their fathers…” (Malachi 4:6).
An integral way freedom in Christ is secured from one generation to the next is by parents choosing to train their children in the love and truth of God. To answer this call, and do this diligently and consistently over the course of decades, a parent has to prefer the child over themselves. We aim to do this without neglecting ourselves, our spouses, or building a perception for our children that the world revolves around their existence. Instead we emphasize the heart posture of the parent and take a stand against modernism that is warring against the family and its members value and honor for one another’s lives.
We cannot turn our hearts toward someone we do not prefer. Preferring our children may not be an easy act or natural feeling but it can be developed through the sanctification process and renewing of the mind to God’s truth and description of His design through His word. by fortifying the character and choosing righteousness as forefathers. In action this looks like repentance, reconciliation, and restoration from father to son, mother to daughter, etc. This character demonstrates a turning of the heart toward each other. This connection and relational presence cultivates the atmosphere where the love of God can be experienced and the presence of God can be encountered.

An Invitation from God
We agree with the Bible that children are a gift from God, “Behold, children are a gift of the Lord, The fruit of the womb is a reward” (Psalm 127:3). This is true regardless of if they feel like a gift. We think answering the call to parent as unto God is incredibly honorable and we desire to encourage parents in their “yes” in any way we can!
Part of the maturing process as a parent is understanding and viewing a child as a gift, not a self-serving gift but a gift to be served. This transformation in parents therein impacting how children are thought of, treated, and lead is a significant act to build up the next generation in godliness, and secure the freedom that is in Christ for each bloodline.
A Challenge in Modern Day
In present-day American culture, the role of the parent and the act of parenting is uniquely challenged. In order to truly guide our children in wisdom, love, and strength, we need God’s help and His value and affection for them!

We have parented for ten years. We have won some battles and lost a lot on our way to winning others. We’ve embraced a reality where we learn how to live and love even when we’re waiting on the Lord for more. Through it all we’ve sought understanding from God about His design and we’ve asked Him for His heart for our children. God has confirmed strategies from His word to break through strongholds in the mind, and familiarity and hardness in the heart. We know what we walk through and what God gives us as we walk, is not for us alone. So, we’ve started a Podcast, Freedom Secured, Preferring the Next Generation so they May Know the Love of God. REPENTANCE - RECONCILIATION - RESTORATION
As a parent develops the character to live a lifestyle of repentance, they are able to continually align with God. Turning away from______ and turning to God. This way of living demonstrates to children a life of alignment. The humility in repentance activates pathways for reconciliation between people. Restoration of people, relationships, and hearts follows repentance and reconciliation and. This is the fierce and worthy work of securing freedom our fierce commitment. We not only release a message to train and equip parents through resources and our Podcast, we parent our beloved children every day. We breathe and apply wisdom and boundaries in the challenges, we identify needs and continuously employ strategies, and we choose to persevere at the dawning of each new day. From that place, parents, we write for you.

We consider children through a whole health lens (spirit, soul, body) as God created them. Our stewardship of their lives as minors and our attention with how we train them is comprehensive and thorough. We are Jeremiah and Keri, a husband and wife team who God has trusted to be parents, fighting for children to encounter the love of God at home. We lead Freedom Ground Ministries together that includes Freedom Aloud, Wholly Healthy, and Freedom Secured. We knew there would be a proper time for Freedom Secured to come forth, and it is now.
